Today is Parents Day on the farm. The parents are all away from the babies. IDK if the cooler temps has them "hardening the little ones off" or what. Anyway, the dove was alone, so I took a picture. I lifted Duckling to see too. She has gotten so used to seeing baby birds, she really didn't care.

I've been giving DH a sad face all day to try to get him to cave to let me have 5 banty cochins.  He says no.  I will have to break out the big guns and start cooking all of his favorite meals... Desperate times...

Calls for all out war....I recommend large caliber ammo....

Cheesecake....chocolate chip cookies, apple pie, cinnamon rolls, more cheesecake, oatmeal raisin cookies, chocolate cupcakes with white icing filling, butter pecan 2 layer cake with cream cheese icing, chocolate gobs with mint icing, more cheesecake and a pumpkin pie in case he gets hungry!

That is Pidgy, she is actually an EE mutt, she has feathered legs, lays a green egg and has the most gorgeous black eyes...she broods for us at least twice a year and is probably the easiest broody for us. I just realized I don't think I have any pictures of her without a chick, lol.

Pidgy is adorable I have to ask....is she named after the Pokémon?

Hubby began some new construction yesterday. We've caught Sirius Black, previously know as Wingtip, and finally had the missing EE, Gladys, back in the yard this morning, so we will need somewhere for them to call home until we can integrate them with the rest of the crew. Personally, I think he's just trying to butter me up so we can get more birds...like he'd have to!
