Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

Hey all, just wanted to update you on my Cali Gray. I think she will definitely pull through. She seems to be increasing in activity, and this morning, she looked like she had a bit more color in her comb and and wattles. The girls are out free ranging now, I will try to snap a picture later. The protocol is 5 days for cocci, correct? It's not helpful to do any longer, correct?

The young chickens are growing SO FAST! I know I've been busy, but sheesh! @dheltzel The turkeys are doing well and see to be fully adjusted. They are also getting stir crazy and wanting to get out an free range everyday. :)

We had our open house party yesterday. It was a lot of work but so much fun. All the kids loved playing with the chicks and trying to catch the free range chickens. Everyone was loving the turkeys too. Now this week I should be able to fully finish unpacking, and then get my chicken area set up. I picked up some shingles this morning for my new/used shed this morning. $16 a pack, and the guy threw in a free bundle. Now I just need some underlayment paper and roofing nails. Also, might try to give the turkeys a proper bath on Tuesday. We'll see how that goes, haha!

Good that she's getting better. I used Corid for 7 days to make sure fully recovered, and then 5 days of prevention dosage.

Have to tease....just a bit....
Weather has sucked for boating, so made use of my kitchen at camp. Yesterday was Lemon Sugar cookies and an Apple Pie.

Looks delicious!

The turkeys are enjoying their freedom. Came home this morning to find the in the neighbors yard... :old

This pic is from my yard though.

Thanks...looks like they are making the most of their time out and about. Wonder if a run of 2 ft chicken wire would be enough to deter them from roaming to the neighbors. I found our chickens were easily dissuaded with it. Cheap and simple if you don't need it for security...just a visual barrier.

Here are the younger chickens. Let's play "Spot the Roo". As you can see in the pic, there are a couple escapees. :cd

And here is one of those aggressive pit bulls, as you can see. The turkeys in this picture were starting to follow the dog. :pop
