Looks delicious!

The turkeys are enjoying their freedom. Came home this morning to find the in the neighbors yard... :old

This pic is from my yard though.

Thanks...looks like they are making the most of their time out and about. Wonder if a run of 2 ft chicken wire would be enough to deter them from roaming to the neighbors. I found our chickens were easily dissuaded with it. Cheap and simple if you don't need it for security...just a visual barrier.

I think I'm going to invest in some. I was already pondering that after I shooed them back. :thumbsup

Lol, turkeys venturing to my neighbor's yard is why they are now penned up BUT, a 6 ft chicken wire fence doesn't deter my hens. I have 5 girls that fly out over it every day lol. Luckily, since they all can't get out, they don't wander too far away...at least not yet.

Do you have chickens at your camp to? :lau

We have been known to take a couple to camp once in a while, lol.... any 'hospital pen patients' get to make the trip with us. Large dog cages and a portable puppy fence are put to use. We just cover the puppy fence with a sheet to create an outdoor exercise area in the grass for when we are there to watch and when we are boating they stay in the dog cage safe inside.

Mira returned to the coop Friday evening. She's quite a bit smaller than all of her sisters/brother now but she's doing well and eating good. She has to find her new place in the pecking order now which is looking like the very bottom at the moment but she's not getting beaten up, just pecked here and there. She's still very people friendly though. She's learned her name during her time in the house and will come when called and hop up in my lap :)

So sad to lose a girl....my lone red Dork from @ladyhawk is failing ..she is moving very slow...I made her scramble eggs and moved her to the brooder...she ate 1/2 then gave up...her crop was empty....moved her back to the coop after dark....I think she has about a day left.....tough watching an old girl check out.....

Aw, so sorry, how old is she?

Aurora, Mira looks like she's doing so well! So glad for you guys. My Cali Grey is looking better too, which is wonderful. I hate to see anyone suffer, man or animal.
