Any guesses, is this egg fertile? Just curious!

GM all:

Well, Today is day 24 and no pips yet....I've never had an egg hatch later than 24.....if nothing else comes, I'll be looking for some New Years' Day hatch chick for company....I remember DH is hatching,...(Dennis, what do you have coming)....or anybody else in SE PA....

Sorry to hear that @stake. We hatched 4 Blue Orpingtons and are keeping 2.
They hatched on Dec 25th so hatch date is close to your silkie.

So last night I couldn't find my little Silkie girl. I looked high and low, and her and her sister are always the first inside the coop, so I thought she may have gotten hawked. I looked outside for signs of a struggle, but didn't see anything. I checked the coop one more time, and there she was, wedged behind a cinderblock that is holding up my nesting boxes. I have to adjust my nesting boxes, now that I have a few more girls making use of them! The little white booger blended right in with the block. Wonder if she was hiding from Rusty the Rapist. Haha!

Hiding from Rusty or brooding? Looks like a spot our broodies would pick....
