Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

Exactly right! The picture does him no justice and this isn’t even his best bird. DD came along and was smitten with the guinea fowl.

My goal was to get better perspective on building duck pens -which I did. The one I’m building now is a bit small and has an ineffective door, better suited to Calls, I imagine. I’m learning. It’s hard to work out kinks when you don’t keep water fowl. I’m hoping MsLadyHawk stops by soon and gives me another perspective.

SE PA (Sinking Spring). Looking to connect with others who share local interest in all things chicken/duck! Particularly would like to find another Mottled Java hen - heritage, - not from feed mills, et cetera.

Hey there neighbor!! :D I'm over here outside off Birdsboro myself, let me know if you need a hand sometime I'll be there lickty split! :D

South Central here too

Hello everyone! We are new here! Just saying hello! We are in South Central Pa. We do not have any chickens yet, but will be getting some in the near future. What type of breeds would you recommend for South Central given our stupid winters and occasionally excessive hot summers. Laying only.

Wyandottes!!! Ameraucanas!!! (I'm not biased at all )

North Central PA on the NY border. Tioga, PA

Hey all! :welcome From Berks County! Glad you're here! :D What do you have and what can we talk you into?

Forgot to mention this, since it's been so long I figured I'd save everyone and double post. So great news! @LeBlackbird was over helping me clean up the bunny pens and we had SUCCESS!! Finally! With Ernie breeding Molly! Now she's a big girl so it's kinda strenuous on him to get things going but he actually mounted her 4 times at least! (Normal should be three for rabbits, so I'm super proud of him).

Also, turns out my really shy rex mix female got bred as well! We'll have to see if it worked for her, but nest boxes are going to be happening soon! We'll have bunnies just in time for easter! Cuddly, or Nutritious~

Also if anyone wanted Ceraymis just let me know, I have a guy on facebook that actually breeds them, he's in Bucks county and gets decent prices for his goth chickens. Waiting now for the gigantic order that Susan's getting to come in, this is gonna be nuts.

No, but I’d like to see it! :goodpost:

Did a quick candle on my eggs tonight, just to make sure nothing was wrong. I figured they might be a day late, since the temps were a bit lower than they should be.

I’m pretty sure I saw at least 4 internal pips for my Bielefelder eggs. Only bad part is that I have to work tomorrow. Can I skype with my incubator? :caf
