Great! That’s the stuff I have on hand. Do you dip them at night when they go to roost? Just grab them, and dip them up to their butts? Thanks for the info.

No, first thing in the morning on a day that's supposed to be nice and warm so they stay warm and dry during the day. Plus, it takes thing than you think but works 1000 x better than the powder. I dip them up to their neck, while body in and work it in to the feathers to make sure they get damp the whole way to the skin.

Hi guys. This is Sam,I met a couple of you yesterday out at York. I realized I didn’t actually have myself on here so I figured I’d change that. Is this the PA thread you told me to jump into!?

Hey Sam. It was great getting to meet you and Jack at the Show. The show was lots of fun, but quite hot! I did manage to score some Sweetgrass Turkey Poults, they are SOOOO cute!

Welcome to the thread and BYC!

As far as chickens in the garden... only allow them if your important plants are protected with mesh or fence. They can strip a patch pretty quickly. Young plants would be gone in first few hours.
I have seen people put long hoops over their rows of plants and allow the birds in between the rows. They are good at weeding!
Thats what i figured since most of my plants are very small still, thanks for the heads up haha.

Welp I had to call the police tonight on one of my neighbors down the road. Illegal fireworks! Again. Ugh. Either way thankfully the guy was rather remorseful and didn't realize that not everyone on the road was going to be okay with it even though he checked in with his neighbors on either side first. Thankfully the Corporal that responded to the call informed him that most of the people that live on this road that we call a "neighborhood" in a rural community mind you, aren't used to this kind of noise and have been here their entire lives. He was told that if he does it again he's getting cited, and given a copy of the updated fireworks laws. Thankfully though the permits for professional grade fireworks are hella hard to get so we won't have this happen again. With him anyways.

I'm just glad the babies are okay. Klaus and Charlie still have PTSD from the 4th of July last year. Klaus didn't want to go into his coop at all. I had to drag him inside he wasn't having it.

The Corporal was actually pretty confused when I said I had livestock that was freaking out cause he didn't know that I had my birds. Lol, I told him about how I just had my first show and that I have exhibition poultry in my back yard and he was like "Wow!" So that's good news. I'm just glad it's quiet now. Mom got pissed cause she's a veteran and doesn't believe that this is a holiday to shoot fireworks over. She's not wrong, but still. If you're gonna blow shit up keep it away from my birds and at a low roar please.
