:barnie I just got lost in recipes!

 I also just realized that I have numerous recipe books I can turn to for inspiration.
that happens to me quite often.
I have a considerable "hoarding" issue with cook books or anything that has recipes..hahaha, lots of binders with printed out recipes..it is a sickness:p...start to look for one recipe to make for a dinner, next thing you know you have Thanksgiving, Christmas & all birthday parties covered for the next two years...:weeyep...a sickness:caf..oh, don't even get me started with what PINTEREST has done for my "illness"..HAhahaha:lau:gig

That was my concern about the blueberries, but the bananas are obviously less juicy.

Reading recipes has gotten frustrating. I find that I spend a lot of time trying to find a “normal” recipe that includes whatever additives I want. I’m already settled on baking times and temperature. I’m pretty settled on baking powder.
Frustrating is 4 1/2C flour, 1 tsp powder. Next recipe was 3C with 2 TABLESPOONS!!! powder. :th

I was just looking for some of our old conversations where we shared recipes. I found some funny, and some bittersweet PM’s from the last seven years.

I like the "traditional" biscotii recipes...no butter, you can adapt the fruit and nuts to what ever you like, keeping them dried, or none at all..the cookie itself is very good with al the add-ins. That would be most traditional..no inclusions, but geesh man.
I also like to substitute some of the AP flour with fine-ground whole wheat flour. Adds a rel nice nutty flavor to the cookie.
I even cut the amount of sugar in half because I use raw-sugar, sooo much more flavor and not that sickening-sweet taste...hope that made sense.
I like to sprinkle the top with the raw before I bake it, makes a nice crunchy-sparkly topping:D

made some "protiens" for DH today...
Beef roast w/ veggies....
Chicken breast in 'cream-soup' w/ herbs..
of course no pics ..blah-blah camera!:rant...
all turned out very good. Can only taste test the sauce & bit of veggie, but the meats did look like they are tasty:drool
So now he is covered for main dishes, sides can be whipped-up in a jiff.;)
My eats are not-so involved.
A bit of veggie soup loosened with veggie broth & a couple spoonfuls of cooked quinoa.
That makes a full meal for me when things are going good:). Oh and BISCOTTI!!:weehahaha

Was hoping to enjoy the backyard a little tomorrow, let the girls in the garden again, but now they are saying the wind is going to be intense throughout the day.
Even have a burn-ban, so you know someone is going to do something stupid:rolleyes:
Every year...no fail. The windiest day..oh yeah, good to do some burnin'. Derp.
Hope everyone has their stuff tied down.

Ha ha! I never did find our conversations. I was getting lost in memories.

I have been getting some things from Schwans. Only things that are not overpriced.
I had alfredo veggie lasagna today. It’s probably something you can have. It’s cheap to make at home, especially if you wait for garden vegetables.

Alfredo sauce, noodles, carrots, broccoli, spinach and cauliflower. Breadcrumbs on top. That is it.
