Why is my rooster dancing and offering treats to a cockerel?

May not be a cockerel, but if it is he is still very young and has his "chick license", meaning still rooster's job to provide teaching /direction to (the dancing can be a form of enforcing rule, showing dominance), and tid bitting youngsters isn't just about feeding, it still shows them that the rooster has things to teach and should be paid attention to. The chick licence expires around 12 to 16 weeks from what I see, depending on the tolerance of the adult bird and the pushiness of the youngster. And little girls get away with tons more with a rooster than little boys do. Adult hens don't tend to tolerate the teens as long as the roosters.

If you raise puppies in a group of older dogs you will see a lot of the same types of behaviors.

Hello everyone! I’m in Mechanicsburg and need to find a home for two beautiful roosters that I can no longer keep because of neighbor complaints. I ended up with 3 roosters last year and want to try to re home two that get along with each other well and can be kept in the same coop. Bernie Sanders is a white Polish and Grand Duke may be a silver lace but I’m not sure; he is extremely handsome. They are both 1 year old and were vaccinated as peeps from McMurray Hatchery. I want them to go to a good home, and will drive a reasonable distance with them if needed. Located in 17050 PA! Central Pennsylvania

Slowly, lol.... tired of the forced inactivity but reminded quickly when I am up and about for long. Took myself off of pain pills by 6 days post op, now just relying on ice, elevation and occasional Tylenol for longer days. Will have 1st cast change and stitches removal this week. The up side is that I am getting a lot of quality time with the new pup (Kendra) and Mindy and Dillon are liking it too.

DH put a cushioned lounger in the shade today so I could sit outside with him while he worked on a boat motor. Of course the chickens invaded the area also. Kendra just roamed around like it was no big deal to be surrounded by birds of all ages (she was loose, so behavior was not influenced). So super happy to see her being that way with them. Snapped pics of a couple of my favorite barn yard mix pullets. Will upload pics from the phone shortly....
