It really is. I'm the last one to get it. I was fine while DD, DH, and DS were getting hammered with it. I guess just so I could cater to them for a week. DS actually ended up getting pneumonia out of it :/ That's the only good thing about the timing of it, he won't have to miss any more school.

These are my newest breed of bantam duck. They are called Aztecs and were created by Dave Holderread a long time ago. They disappeared for many years, until someone found a flock and started getting them distributed once again.
They seem a bit smaller than Australian Spotted, same size as the Mini Silver Appleyards. The 2 oldest hens were laying loads of eggs all fall, so I have great hopes for these as egg producers. I think they are rather pretty too. The lone drake has a big job ahead of him!

Eggs from Marans and Welbars. For some reason, they are laying much better right now than the blue egg laying breeds. Last December, almost all the eggs were from one pen - Lavender Marans. This year, the Welbars are joining the laying crew early.
