Anyone have any eggs or chicks??? or WILL HAVE???? These are the main item on my want list.... thought I may get lucky and ask!!!! Of course I will pay for them!!! lol
 
Thank goodness my kid math is better then my chicken math. My dog, goat, and cat math..............bad too. You got to remember my mom and I combined households (she is handicapped). Soooooooooooo we have 5 dogs all in the house, 3 indoor 3 outdoor cats. Only 2 goats for now, and 1 horse. 2 turkeys, 2 geese, 2 rabbits, and probably 150 chickens............ I put an add on craigslist. I have so many roosters that need to go its ridiculous. I figure I am not going to winter no more then 10 (roosters). I also have a pair of Silver Laced Bantam Cochins. My cousin was going to get them but backed out. Let me know if you might be interested. Have a great day everybody, I sure I will have 70 messages tonight to read!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am not good at ANY kind of math, lol!!! Four seems to be our magic number for most things. Except chickens!

We used to have 4 dogs a few years back. But I had to end up putting my OBD (old brown dog) who was my heart, to sleep. I cried over him for months. He was a rescue and we had him for about 8 years. This pup I am getting has the same coloring as he did. And my MIL took one of my dogs. She had been asking us for years to give Jas to her. She is retired and living alone, and we finally just gave in. Although we see Jas all of the time. Those two are best buds. Now my last cocker (almost 11 years old) is reaching the end of her life, and I know how hard it is going to be to lose her. We have had her since she was 3 months old, and she is my shadow. I think that is why my hubby said yes to a puppy. He knows Dody is not long for this world. And it is not that I don't love my two mini-doxies. But it is not like it is with my cockers. Something about this little girl just calls to me.

I think what is too much for one person, is just perfect for another. So, no one should judge someone else. Just because it is something that you couldn't (or wouldn't chose to) handle, doesn't mean someone else feels the same way. My BFF thinks I am crazy for having ANY chickens. She has one dog and no other animals and that one dog is more than she is really capable of handling. I enjoy spending time with my animals. Much more than people most of the time.
 
Can I just say that reading this thread makes me smile! Puppy makes 3 dogs here and we have not even told our families, as we know it will mean loads of critisim and 'just WHAT were you thinking!?, haven't you got enough to handle?'. Nice to hear all the support here.
