Whew. I think you should celebrate by setting off generous amounts of virtual TNT.

That never gets old. :)
I also just finished an awesome maze. It is meant to be done on survival mode. I can't wait for my brothers to try it out!!!! I will not envy them though- some traps include TNT, zombie pigmen, and a trip to the end of the world. That will be fun.....:)

Okay. So my friend and I were playing MC survival and we made a new world. A few minutes later, MineCraft crashed and when she opened it back up, our survival world was turned into creative. there were still zombies and animals... but we couldn't get hurt. we could break and place blocks like creative. We couldn't get hurt... but it was VERY glitchy. She kept the world, even exited and went back in, but it still stayed.

So what did I do?

Filled the world of butter, of course. What else would I do with an unlimited supply of anything? LOL

That happens sometimes, it's an OLD Minecraft glitch that occurred often in version 1.3~ It happened to me a lot before the update. I'm not exactly sure why. I think the crash is because of two things:

1) Too much MC memory used
2) Your computer may be using too much internal memory. Which causes bad lag. A way for everyone to fix lag is simple and MC will crash less.

If anyone wants to know what the lag fix is, just let me know and I will give a tutorial right here~!

Just for clarification, I'll give you guys the main causes of lag:
1) (not everyone) Sometimes, PC or laptop performance can decrease over time and this will drop the frames per second limit slowly. This is easily fixed using my method and there shouldn't be any lag using the method I goofed off with.
2) Low sensitivity
3) Because the worlds are huge and the graphics are incredibly detailed, this requires a lot more CPU memory. Rain and snow have many particles, and because there are many of them running at once. Jungles have so much to load. Ravines because of lava, water, and ores generating just before your eyes.
4) It also depends on how well your computer runs Java. If it doesn't run Java well, this will cause lag and I have yet to see how to fix this. However I will tell all of you, I would download Firefox instead of Internet Explorer. Firefox can run programs much easier and smoother. I would do the occasional cleanup and program updates. Take care of your cpu and it will reward you with smooth running programs and excellent performance.
5) If your computer is unprotected by an antivirus, you may be possessing a malicious coding on your cpu with a 'secret' virus that hides itself among files called malware. I would revitalize/get an antivirus ASAP.

When I experience lag, I turn the render distance to tiny, set particle effects to minimal, turn off fancy graphics, and turn off all sound. It helps my poor old computer a lot, although it has the downside of making gameplay less entertaining.
If you have cheats turned on, you can also change the game rules to stop natural spawning.

Here's what I do (guaranteed to work):

Search your computer for %appdata% exactly. A folder called 'Roaming' will come up. Click it, and look for .minecraft. Click on that and go to 'options' on whitepad. Look for FPS Limit: 1. Delete the 1 and set it to 170 for maximum encryption FPS. Open up a Minecraft singleplayer and go to 'Options', then to 'Video Settings'. Turn graphics to 'Fast', render distance to 'Tiny', Performance to 'Max FPS', Smooth Lighting to 'Off', Particles to 'Minimal', Clouds to 'Off', and View Bobbing to 'Off'. Trust me, it's helpful.

Creeper is all done! Below- size comparison- tree on the right, actual creeper on the left. (can you see him?)

The inside of the head! I might make it my home.
