I posted a few weeks back that I was starting to play on public servers. The server that I've ended up on had half of their admins go rogue a couple of weeks ago. Overnight the server was deleted as well as all of the backups. They ended up having to build a new server from scratch. It worked out well for me and my team since we were so far behind everyone else but people that had been playing for a long time were furious.

Lesson for anyone thinking of building a server (let me put on my 20+ years in the IT field hat), never give root access to anyone you don't know extremely well.

Very good advice, Wolfhound. There are many good people on the Internet, but there are quite a few bad ones too. It's hard to tell which is which until it's too late.
