Today I discovered the joys of low definition texture packs. I downloaded an 8x8 one and tested it out, and the game ran much more smoothly and at about 5 FPS higher than usual.
When your normal FPS is 7, even a small-seeming increase like that is impressive.

Yeah, but it's a fairly old hand-me-down computer. Its previous job was pretty demanding, and it'd really rather be taking a long nap than rendering graphics at this point.

Yeah, I don't remember what it's running right now. I don't even remember if it uses Ubuntu, or some other Linux thing. *Shrugs* It gets the job done, whatever it is.

Fortunately I sometimes get to use the family laptop, and that thing is a delightful confection of flawless perfection. e

for fps i generally get 13 to 36 running an hd texture pack (atherys_ascended)

i think i found the best seed I have ever found.

--> in it you find near the spawn (in a forest) there is a desert. in that desert is two villages close to each other. next to the village that is further away from spawn there is a surface zombie dungeon.

seed is flint coal or 5147118
