If your pvc feeder is designed with a "Y" near the bottom for the chicken to stick it's head into to get feed ... just put a cap/plug on it ...

No it's not, it comes down and drops into little baskets that has wire criss crossed through it. It is no big deal to spray when I lock them up. As long as it keeps working.
