Pepper's Perch---- My lil' coop!!

Oh, the platform! They go up there sometimes... we WERE going to do what you just said... but then we expanded to the flock and figured we'd just start over. Now the platform has two barrels of pinestraw on it for the inside of the coop. There's a door next to the platform, and the chickens walk through the door, on the platform, and jump down to free-range. We were actually oing to do JUST what you said, and then expand the bottom too, but---- we knew we'd want more and more. BUT we will keep using the coop they're in now to hold 2 new chickens, after we move the current flock to the new coop.

And the platform belongs to my dog--- he sits up there ALL day lol it cracks me up

Haha... well I'm glad we have it. My dog gets along with the chickens great, in fact lots of the time they lie side by side in the grass it's adorable. But when I'm feeding them and giving them water he sits on the platform.

Very cute! Love the cute little coop that you are building!
We have a 8x12 storage building that we have turned into a coop- we have 30 chickens! We have a fence that is 20'x20' around the coop. Works out great. 4 of our chickens are Roosters and we have to get rid of 3 of them. They are left over from our straight run we bought in April. I just can't eat them! We have barred rocks and RIRs. 20 of them are laying now. I want so many more. But I also want some ducks, bunnies, a pig, and maybe a goat. lol. My husband thinks I am nuts! He can have the cows!
