I didnt know where to put this but, I have a few crosses and i wondering if there was a way to calculate the percentage of each breed in a particular chicken.

I have a hen who is 50% silkie and 50% easter egger i hatched eggs from her fathered by a pure silkie, what would the percentages of that chicken be?

i have an easter egger who is 50% ameraucana 50% cornish if i crossed it with the aforementioned mystery percentage chicken what would the resulting chicks percentages be?

Is it even possible to calculate that?

The silkie mix crossed back to a pure silkie would result in chicks that are 75% Silkie. Your Easter Egger mix is a bit trickier. Are you absolutely certain that it is 50% true Ameraucana, and not just a mislabeled hatchery Easter Egger?

I am absolutely certain, the ameraucana rooster came from my great grandpa's breeding program (too much black on its hackles for his wheaten breedings)

so 50% jersey giant 15.625% ameraucana 12.5% cornish and 3.125% other? but then if i cross that with a 50% jersey giant 50% leghorn what would that be?

Whoops, getting confused with all of this. If you cross the Ameraucana, cornish, easter egger, silkie with a Jersey Giant you get 50% Jersey Giant, 12.5% Ameraucana, 12.5 Cornish, 6.25% Easter Egger, and 18.75% Silkie. Then, if you cross that with a Jersey Giant/Leghorn mix, you get 50% Jersey Giant, 25% Leghorn, 6.25% Ameraucana, 6.25% Cornish, 3.125% Easter Egger, and 9.375% Silkie. That is a lot of crossing to keep track of.
