Does anyone have tree branches in their coops that are set up so the birds can perch? If you do have them do you ever find the birds using it, I realize they are ground dwelling birds but have seen it. any thoughts?

All the time. Mine are basically split firewood that have holes drilled in to put limbs into as shown for ground cover. I have 4 in 8’x5’ pen.

We do in the chicken run area not in the coop.
Some of our ladies will let certain types of birds join them but, most of the time they will try to get the birds that fly in. One of our barn love doves did not make it out alive last year. :(
