7 week old chicks have been in there coop for 3 days noticed that they perfer there nests instead of there perch they have used the perch but when i go to let them out in the run there all in the nesting boxes i moved the perch up so thats its around the same height as boxes will they make there way to the perch? for good and just use box for laying?

Give them time, they will huddle in the nesting boxes while young for warmth and "safety". Once they get older they will usually stop sleeping in the nesting boxes and find a perch (not necessarily the one you setup for them though lol).

The perches should be higher then the nests. As they are birds they prefer to roost high. At seven weeks they don't need the nests open yet. You can close them off and let them develop the habit of sleeping on the perches. Once they reach around18 weeks you can open them up.
