perches to use for ducks in shed??

I have been using hay bales in the shed for my ducks to sit on but they shred them and make a mess.i was thinking on replacing them with armless camping chairs, the ones that fold up. I am Looking for any input on this before I buy them??? I was going to put shavings on the chair, and just spray them off in warm weather. Any other ideas on what to use???

My ducks (rouens) have never perched on anything, they just sleep on the ground.

I have Muscovy ducks and they like to be high up I have 1 Ruen and she prefers the floor
