So I reallllly want that beautiful blue egg or teal. We have the following breeds in the incubator-
*Easter Egger
*Whiting true blue
*Araucana (pullet)/Americauna (roo) cross
*Created cream legbar

My question is which rooster should I keep??? I want to sell chicks and hatching eggs next year. But don't know what to focus on. I just want really blue eggs. Should I cross them to improve the blue egg Gene? And if so, which rooster do I keep? Or focus on one pure breed of what I have as known breeds right now?? Should I create a new breed?

Is that a first gen EE? If so, I'd get rid of that one, but keep the rest. Even if it's not gen one, I wouldn't risk keeping it if it's a roo, since it could carry the brown-egging gene. If it's a hen, then keep her until she starts laying to see what color comes out of her. The rest are perfect for starting a blue-egg flock. I say if you want to cross them and create your own unique breed, cross them. It's up to you.

I don't think I've ever seen an Arau x Amerau before. Definitely share pictures of that beauty when it's out!

Here's one, if your curious. Her father was a BBR araucana and her mother was a lav ameraucana. She lays green.
