Perfect reason why I need a drake...

Well I went out to change pools, and have noticed for a few weeks that my girls and 10 y/o drake appear to have been mated with... Only thing I could figure was it was the wild sovie drake that comes around.

Turns out it was something totally different. My girls are trying to mate with each other!



I found a guy with runner drakes about 40 minutes away from me, but my parents are bing difficult.

The girls will do that with or without a drake. It is one of the ways they establish pecking order.

I thought only drakes did that for dominance? Makes sense though since it was my oldest gal I caught mounting.
