Perfect, safe small garden weed control.

Well I found my new weed control method for next year. Seems a lot more useful than that weed fabric paper. I like that by the time fall comes around it breaks down and you can till it right in. It may not keep back those really invasive weeds but sounds like it be a lot less than I usually deal with. Thanks for sharing that

Not only small gardens :) we use cardboard, from boxes and off shipping pallets and cover it with mulch. Making it wet will allow you to punch a hole to plant stuff. If you use paper, use 2+ layers for better performance.

Perfect for squash, it's so hard to pull weeds without destroying the vines. It also shines when it comes to tomatoes, cabbage, peppers, and that type of stuff.

I'd like to find a way to incorporate it into corn, beans, and other row crops. But then again we always run out of cardboard/paper long before we get that far.;)

Beats pulling weeds....

The worst one I have to pull weeds Around it’s my snap peas. Weeds love those things! Never see so many weeds around one area. And the roots are very shallow so just preventing weeds from even coming up especially with shallow rooted vegetables is great

My guineas, weeder geese and chickens do the job. In fact ever since I got guineas and weeded geese there’s hardly been any weeds at all !

The only problem is my new exotic flower bed which grass keeps growing in, I’ve ordered more wood chips and I’ll be covering the ground with 2 layers of weed control cover. Where I am there’s loads of dandelions so I can’t use cardboard or newspaper

It’s only been started and I’m planning on continueing it on up the lawn.

Great unless your growing food the geese will eat

I don't think he uses enough layers of newspaper for really effective weed control. I've used newspaper and cardboard before, and they work great, but newspaper needs to be thick.
