hello,
im a bit worried I bought 5 baby chickens two weeks ago one was Bourne with a deformity and died three days later was sneezing a little but not noticeably. then the other four started sneezing and today my healthiest died. she was fine up until yesterday and she started not eating or drinking and just closing her eyes. I drip fed her some later but she passed away in my hand this morning. it was very sad. now im worried that one of the others may be going down as she isn't eating as much as the others. she's always been a bit quite and very cuddly but im a bit on edge because o what happened to the healthiest. dose any one have and tips? is sneezing a bad sign? they have no other respiratory systems as far as I know? please help! im very nervous as I love them very much! this is my first time raising baby chics as pets from one day old!!

I'm so sorry to hear you've had such a sad and stressful experience. But, yes, it's probably contagious, and the other chicks are at risk, too. They will need treatment with an antibiotic.

Where do you live? We might be able to help point you in a direction to get the right med for your chicks if you tell us what country you live in.

Did you buy these chicks from a hatchery, feed store, or a private breeder? If the latter, it's possible the flock these chicks came from carry a respiratory virus and the chicks were infected before you bought them. I would contact the person who sold them to you if it was a private farm.
