Performance Poultry Orders!

I changed my mind... haha
I still want to order the ducks, but i want to a nice little laying flock this is what I want:
1 exchequer leghorns hen, 1 light brown leghorn hen, 1 light brown leghorn roo, 1 rir hen,
1 dominique hen, 1 black australorp hen and 1 buff chantecler hen and maybe a golden campine hen

I too was attracted to the Chantelcer b/c of their cold tollerance. I can say that they were definately doing well in the cold, but I agree with the folks who said they were slow to start laying and they were not as good of layers as I had expected and thought. I did finally end up getting rid of them because they were so docil/stupid that they always ended up at the bottom of the pecking order and always a little bald. They were free rangers and even though my flock was never greater than 6 and most of the times 4 they just could not win. After trying it 3 times I just gave up.

Though I have to say my partridge Chantelcer was one of the most beautiful girls I have ever had.

Yeah I took Pat's advice and looked at different breeds. I liked the look and specs of the Barred Rock, but the single comb did NOT appeal to me. We had some frostbite problems with the red hens so I ended up ordering some Dominiques.

not from performance poultry nut my white chantecler hem started laying in nov. still laying well big egg love her our barred rock hens best layers in the cold hands down, our silver wys cold hardy but not great layers in cold .had got 8 buff chantecler chicks last year from performance , not impressed as 6 were roos and 2 turned out to be new hampshires. expensive mistake

I had good luck with my birds from performance poultry last year...
and im hoping the same for this year....
I made my order and I ordered:
1 exchequer leghorn hen , 1 light brown leghorn hen and 1 rooster, 1 Rir hen, 1 domonique hen, 1 australorp hen and 1 buff chantecler
