Did you say these were sold as production reds? I believe that term typically refers to red sex linked hybrids. In Which case you have all females :D Cockerels would be white.

Where did you get them from? That one in the middle looks to be a cockerel, and possibly the taller one next to him. I thought production red was a term used for hatchery quality Rhode Island Reds or a Rhode Island Red/New Hampshire cross and not Red Sex Links?

I got them at tractor supply. They were identified as Production Red not Red Sex Link. I was under the impression that Production Reds were Rhode Island Reds and New Hampshire Reds and that Red sex Links were RIR Males and Delaware females but I'm new to this.

ARG I find all these hatchery names so confusing sometimes :he
It seems I was incorrect and these are not red sex links. My apologies for the misinformation :hmm

Hey everyone! I'm back with an update. The girls are just about 9 weeks. I have some update pics. The one in question was late to develop a tail and now appears to have a lot of dark green feathers emerging. I also took some pics of hackle feathers and I think the saddle feathers are still a bit premature. But i'd appreciate any feed back.
