My 1-2 week old chick has a sore toe (are they called "toes" on chicks??). Can I put peroxide on it or is there something else I should use?

I think a little peroxide soak is in order. You may want to use Vet RX on it too. If you don't have any put antibiotic annoitment on it.

Do you mean an antibiotic ointment like Neosporin? Is an ointment okay to use with chicks (i.e. is it problematic if they ingest it?).

Sorry about so many quesitons. . . newbie. . .

Hi newbie.
Neosporin without pain reliever is OK-don't think they'll eat it.
As far as the peroxide goes-I wouldn't simply because it can possibly cause tissue death. Can you gently wash it off with some warm water?
