Personal opinion ? or Practicallity for bedding?

What do use as bedding for peafowl do stop the spread of disease? thinking of wood shaving, wood chips, or even leaving the floor concrete and adding rubber mats (easy to clean away poo). What do yall think. Thanks

For adults I just leave it Florida sand, LOL... They hardly use their shelter unless it's raining or only for a little while, so I just rake it out and add fresh when needed. I also spray everything down and saturate the sand with a sprayer full of pool bleach. Pool bleach has less of a strong smell than reg bleach.
