Does anyone have a pesticide that they use on yards that will not poison tour chicks

Not sure if you are looking for Herbicide (kills weeds) or insecticide ( kills insects).. Here is the general procedure. 1. Read label on product and see how long it is active. 2. Contact manufacturer with questions unanswered. 3. If applied, try to keep chickens off at least until product is washed into soil after some descent rains. 4. Give some deep thought as to DO I REALLY NEED IT..

I personally do fertilize but do not use a weed killer. such as WEED AND FEED. Yes, I still have dandelions but a well fed lawn will grow and crowd out the weeds somewhat. I cut grass often. When I did use a weed killer on rare occasions, I kept chickens off .. at least until good rains did wash product into soil.
