Pests in Southern Missouri

This is our first year of vegetable gardening. Are there any good organic pesticides or bug repellents that anyone can recommend? We have big ol grasshoppers on our corn and black caterpillars all over the tomatoes. We have tried Neem oil and DE.... doesn't seem to make much difference. Any suggestions?

Sometimes physical removal by spraying with pressurized water provides a temporary solution. Organic control can be very labor intensive. Good luck.
