Pet hen missing... Little clues

What surprised me is that there was an animal trap next to her coop. It was probably humans... But how will I find her???
She has been missing since yesterday, That animal trap was not placed by anybody I know. Maybe they were trying to catch her?

Ok well either way she may have a clutch of eggs she has hidden near by setting on the wanting to hatch them

Yeah, um, I doubt this has anything to do with a rooster.

Finding an animal trap next to your coop that does not belong to you and was not placed there by anyone you know is rather perplexing and would definitely disturb me greatly.

Are you positive it wasn't put there by someone you know?
Is your yard easily accessed by strangers?

More info might be helpful....
Do you free range?
Do you lock up your birds every night...and count them?
When did you notice her missing?

I wast meaning it was because of the rooster that she went missing I was wondering if she had ran off to hatch a clutch of eggs she hid I was just asking because if the eggs would have been fertile or not that she would or could have ran off to hatch if that's what she went to do

If u were meaning put a lock on ur chicken coop I have one on mine lock it every night

When I was in SC, I had a lock on my coop. It stopped stealing of eggs....
