Pet rat chat

Has anyone else got rats as pets, come here and chat with other rat people.

I haven't had rats for probably 16 years. Live ones anyway.

Tossing around the idea of getting the kids a couple in the future though.

In my experience they are excellent pets I have had them for years and if you get them from a reputable breeder they don't bite provoked or unprovoked. Very loving and playful.

Oh I know - they're great. I've actually never been bitten by a rat and I've been around hundreds. I think the most I've ever had at a time was around 15. I used to breed and show a bit. I mainly bred and showed mice though. My rats were mainly pets. Pretty pets haha.

I have quite a few rats they eat the stuff my chickens dont eat and or raw eggs and chicks if one needs to be culled. I have female rats in one cage, males in another and one by himself as hes a mouse killer and will kill anything that moves hes nipped all my baby rats tails off through the cage bars until I switch him with my other male rats

I love rats sadly I don’t have any, maybe one day I will get some. Closest thing I have are African soft fur rats

I use to have a hairless and a dumbo. We really enjoyed them.
