pet rooster attacking certain coloured objects like my red santa hat!

our pet rooster does not like red things, which i found out the other day while wearing my red santa hat.. i bend down to open another cage and then he tried to fly on top of me to attack the hat. Its not the first time he's done it to red things, another time to red gloves.. Is there any way to stop it?? He is such a friendly rooster but hates red things must be a bull..

Red is a chickens favorite color. If a chicken has a cut and bleeds the other chickens will peck at it. Not because its a cut but because its red. Not much to do to stop it. Sorry

Agreed. Chickens are most attracted to the color red. It's not just your roo-red generally brings on the same message for every chicken, hen or rooster. There's no stopping it. It's just something you're going to have to adjust to.
