Pet vs show quality Ayam Cemani

Hey all I breed Ayam Cemanis and I consider mine pet quality not show but I would love to know what the difference is?

There isn't a set standard for the US. Main importance is completely black, including tongue and internals

Well, show quality follows all the standards that you need in order to show. Pet quality means that they're still purebred, but couldn't be showed. There's also breeder quality, which means they aren't show quality, but they can produce offspring that would be show quality I think.

That's all I can say. Not an expert and I don't know much about the standards of Ayam Cemani.

I forgot the difference of the breed.
Both identical.
One difference I know is, one sells for 150.00
The other sells for a whopping 1000.00

They should be all black when going to a show. That's about as much as everyone can agree on. I think there are Dutch standards. It is somewhere in the 300-page AC thread:

If it does well at a show then it is show quality. Right?

You're only undercharging if people are willing to pay more. I can get pet quality chicks for 30-99 bucks depending on which place I go with

The ayam cemani bubble has burst. The people that got into them first were trying to make a quick financial killing with the crazy prices. Prices are dropping now. They have low fecundity which makes them difficult to breed. They also have a high cull rate. So prices may always be justifiably higher than the popular production breeds. We may, or may not, ever see a black-skinned chicken in every pot.

I wish I'd never heard of ayam cemani.
