Phallus prolapse in drake

I pushed it back in three times, but this morning it had stayed and so far, so good. He seems to be feeling well and is eating and drinking. I'm so glad because I have to go out of town for a couple days tomorrow.

So he has relapsed a couple of times since then, and it's now taken a turn for the worse. I have pushed it back, but it won't stay long at all and is quite swollen. He keeps getting white scabs which fall off before more appear, almost like a yeasty growth. He is in with the whole flock again, but I'm pretty sure he isn't mating. Otherwise, he acts fine and happy. Is it possible it could be yeast infection? Would that cause prolapse? I'm not sure what to do at this point. Unpleasant picture below:

When my little drake had a prolapsed penis I amputated all of the infected part. I sterilized everything, used very sharp scissors then sprayed the area with vetericyn antimicrobial wound care. That was 2 years ago and he has been just fine. Good luck with yours.

Thank you both! @Luv Ducks I'm glad to hear yours is doing well afterward. Was your drake's pretty swollen? I think I could still amputate but I wonder if it will be difficult with all the swelling.
