Phallus prolapse in drake

Right now the plan is to do the amputation Saturday so I can be home to keep an eye on him afterward. He still seems to be feeling fine, so I'm just keeping him in a smaller pen with some stuff for infection.

I pray that it works out as well for you as it did for me. I knew if I did not do it mine would have died as they say the infection goes up into the body and will kill them. That is what gave me the strength to do it.

So I decided to do it this morning, but I'm having trouble finding the place to cut. I took the scabs off so I could see better. It's so swollen that I can't tell what is vent and what is penis. The skin between them doesn't separate and when I try to pull it out a little to find healthy tissue, it doesn't pull. It almost feels like a tumor fixed in place. I wonder if it's too swollen up inside? I don't want to cut his vent, and I don't want to cut too low so the infection goes up inside.

and I can't get the rest.

So sorry that it looks like it is advanced to that stage. I know the penis is quite long and if it seems to be blocked up inside of him then the infection I would guess is quite advanced. I guess I would just remove the parts that I can and leave it go at that. I don't know what else could be done other than that if it seems to be stuck up inside of him. Sorry you are having this situation.

I had a drake that it wouldn’t go back in I left it. It turned black and I’m assuming fell off. He’s still alive and this was months ago so.

That is great that he is still alright. When I researched it I read if it was green which mine was the infection would spread to the rest of the body and it would need to be amputated or else your drake would die. That is what prompted me to take action with mine.
