Need a little help. I just hatched 21 out of 30 pharaoh quail eggs. A few people I know said this is pretty good. Now here is my dilemma. So far 3 has died and today their might be a 4th. They were hatched on Monday 7-23. Right before each one died they went into a seizure. Flipping and flopping all over the brooder. I would eventually stand them up and they would begin to feverishly peck themselves and flip again. Later they were found dead. Does anyone out there in BYC knows what might be causing this? Thx...

How hot is your brooder?

A good temp would be between 90 - 95 deg. F at this age. Use a thermometer under the light to see how hot it is in the hottest part.

Don't let them run out of fresh, clean water. And grind their food so it is small enough for them to eat.

I have it right at 92 degrees, plenty of water and I have grinded their food. Beats me...Thx for the input. Appreciate it..
