This is my first time having pheasants, I got 3 chicks a month old. I noticed one being a little weak, am not sure but seems it has colds. Eyes half closed sometmes. They are currently on antibiotic,am I doing the right thing?

They are not on a brooder box, I live in a tropical country. Temperature at 33 degree Celsius, feed has 20% protein only for chicken stags.

Up ko lang hehe... I confirm it has colds. But can't see no mucus, just compared the sound with the chicks who had the symptoms before.

Do you have chickens? Smell the mucus. Does it smell bad around the nostrils?
Yes I have chickens but they are away. At night my pheasant chicks stay inside the house. Can't see any mucus but they seem congested. I smell the nose, just the same with the smell of their body. :)

It sounds like they may have enteritis. In chicks, this comes from dirty litter most times. Try to keep their brooder cleaner. Antibiotics are the correct course but are you seeing results? What antibiotic are you giving them?

Be sure to take care to not use any of the same tools water fonts, or feeders for chickens and game birds. Wash your hands before you handle the pheasants. Don't let them come into direct contact with your chickens or eat the feces of your chickens. Chickens can carry several diseases that they are resistant to, but are fatal to pheasants, quail, and partridge.

no more bubbly poops but the looks, they still look the same. Theyseem still strong as they make huge shakes when I hold them. It seems like they like to sleep often (could be malaise when having colds); one has its one eye shut. The antibiotic I gave them is a combination of Trimethoprim+Sulfadiazine+Tiamulin. This is the 5th day already and I feel like switching to another antibiotic which is a combination of Tiamulin Hydrogen Fumarate+Doxycycline Hydrochloride+VitaminA+B12.

They are currently on a cage. I plan to make an aviary if they'll survive. Cage was used by my chicks even the feeders and waterers which I clean and disinfct every other day. Every when should I disinfect the cage?

They are pastes or powders you add to feed or water. You should clean the brooder frequently, daily if you have to. It doesn't have to be spotless but you don't want them eating each others feces if you can avoid it.

Thanks. They seem hard to maintain. I even thought of buying a pair of golden and silver before.
