pheasant eating pine leaves

I just got a pair of Silvers today and put them into a temp aviary where i made a nest box and laid some branches of a conifer pine tree
But i saw the hen eating the green leaves??
Will it hurt her???
The leaves as i call them are more like green needles when you touch them?
