What can I do to make it better? I have candled my first set of eggs in the incubator, 26 in all, and none show any signs of fertility. My turkey eggs are developing nicely, so the bator is working just fine. I have 1 rooster in each pen, one with 2 hens, the other with 3. Plenty of room, feed, and cover.

Hmmmm

Yup, all purchased as day olds last year. They'll be a year old in May.

I hate to start cracking the 24+ eggs I have that aren't in the incubator, but I guess I could make an omelet out of the ones that aren't fertile. Looks like I know what I'm having for breakfast Saturday.

The roosters have been cackling up a storm, so hopefully with this warmer weather they'll get busy.

im having a similar problem, i have a couple sets of two year old male red goldens , one with 3 hens one with 2 , must have had 40 eggs so far , none were fertile, real bummer. not like there not prancing around a lot showing off to the girls,
but its not just the reds , also have a couple sets of silvers , but there only spotty laying , all infertile. a trieo of aldy amhurst , just started to lay , no fertile eggs there , but he is just starting to color a bit . the ringnecks layed during the winter , had a real low hatch rate, not laying now.

turkey hatch rate is improving as well as the chickens and in getting over run with Japanese quail

got to find a set of hens for my yellow boys this year .

Cracked a few eggs and figured out when they started doing the deed correctly. 3 more days and I'll have 36 eggs in the incubator.
