Pheasant hen w/babies **flight pen update pic's**

Well my one mutant pheasant hen has her self some new babies, we let her have 7 eggs and she hatched herself 5 babies out.. was a nice site to see her taking them around the the flight pen this morning..after all the rain and heavy wind last night its amazing they survived it under her..

Broody turkey hen sitting on about 8 eggs and a few of her Friends coming over to see what I'm doing over by her..

There are a total of 14 hens in the pen now and Wizard the main breeder cock bird (4 years old) seen in most of my pic's.. he's a very good cock bird and often will offer food to his young babies as done in previous years

my one good friend has the other group of pheasants i sold to him last fall.

Sam, i have 3 hens that will sit if given the opportunity.. all three are mutant type pheasant hens, Our reg hens don't seem to have an interest in sitting if given the chance..

as for the turkey hens sitting ,i have 5 of them that will sit whether they have eggs under them or not, boy are they tough to brake of their natural habit of sitting..

They will fight you in every way to stay on an empty nest or a full nest..When you do finally get them off the nest they will walk around all puffed up and in protect mode complaining big time about you disturbing them, as soon as you walk away and come back, there right back assuming there position on the nest....
