Pheasant Male Setting On Eggs

My Red Golden male is setting on a clutch of eggs. The three hens have nothing to do with them. Is this normal behavior? I am new to pheasants & don't know a lot about normal behavior.

My temminick male set on 4 eggs and hatched 3 of them.The hen also set on 4 and hatched 3 of them.So if males want to set let them.Maybe it's their way of getting away from the old bickering hens.
