mermaid, im sorry to hear that your not Getting any pheasants the pen size you said i think would be fine for goldens and amherst i have mine in 8x9 pens as well as my other pheasants to and they do fine. dont give up on pheasants if that is what you want they should be fine in your pens
no one should tell you your pens are to small, they should say i think your pens are small, let them say what ever and you do what you want, but please dont let them saying you pens are to small make you not get pheasants. we have had this topic on here before and im still going to voice my thoughts it makes me sick to hear someone say a pen is to small, no one knows it all but i think you can have happy birds in a smaller sized pen just as well as in a big pen. i would be alot happier if people would say i think your pen is to small rather then your pen is small like they know it all and sure some one will say it just the facts and it is not a fact it is just what they think and nothing more.
someone told me that i lacked the space to have the many breeds i wished to keep and when i argued he just said he was stating the facts , and that is not true i have 20 acres and could have what ever size pen and any amont of pens i wanted but i bult the pens i bult and the birds i have are fine. people should have what ever pens they want how they want them and stop trying to make others think like them. its ok to tell your thoughts and ideas but to right out say some one is wrong is not right either, if everyone had the same pen set up this hobby would get old eventully seeing the different pen setups people have is one thing i find very interesting, i would hate to go to peoples places and they all be the same setup.. this is my idea some people will agree some will not but im willing to bet more people are afarid to publicly agree with me for fear of being ridiculed and just will not put theit 2cent in and this is the reason im willing to argue this so much because i know many to afraid too.
