Hi I am thinking about getting 3 Lady Amherst pheasats this spring or early summer. I was wondering could I feed them chicken feed or would I have to buy a pheasant feed? Here is the pen I plan on building to keep them in https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=228628 it is the very first 8 x 16 pen, i will have a roof over it. If anybody can sell me a trio of them please post it on here. Please post some other stuff you know about Lady Amherst and i am 14. Thankyou

Try Don Hungsinger in Montrose or Bill Lloyd in Marion Center.Your better off feeding them gamebird feed.Don't forget fruits, veggies and peanuts every once in a while.I will have amherst in the spring, but try Don or Bill first, shipping is way to expensive.

KID HAVE YOU EVER HAD/ OR DO YOU NOW HAVE GAMEBIRDS?

I'M BETTING THE ANSWER IS NO?

THEY WONT BITE... RATHER THEY WILL FLEE FROM YOU WITH EVERYTHING WITHIN THEIR POWER. THESE ARE WILD ANIMALS--- BIRDS TO BE SPECIFIC. NOT A PUPPY. THEY REQUIRE SPECIAL HOUSING AND CARE.
