Pheasant Shelters

I have several different pairs of pheasants, each pair having their own pen and wooden boxes for cover. I spent a lot of time to build these small houses. They don,t seem to use them at all, at night they roost on some tree branches I have in their pen. In cold or rainy wheather, makes no difference their on those branches. Is that more normal for them to roost that way?

Yep.. we have quite a few pheasants and only a couple will actually go into a house. LOL most roost on the branches or on top of the house.. we did throw a bunch of straw down and the hens like to burrow in it.. but the pens are all completley covered.. they do like the cold!!!
