Pheasants and Chickens- can they live harmoniously?

knock on wood! my only losses have been predatory and I had 1 get an impacted crop. No diseases that I am aware of anyway. I was told I could use lime to help break down the area where the pen will be for the pheasants. Is that the best way to clear the possibility of disease from the soil?

Well, I am glad that I took alittle time to get some answers so now I can be better prepared to either get the pheasants or have the proper housing conditions for them!

Thank you all for your help! I'm sure I'll be back!

lime only raises the PH of the soil and helps break down the ammonia from the waste, it will do nothing for disease control. There are soil decontamination products out there, and blaech works well too for a lot of them, or you could just let the area "lay out" for 6 months or so.
