Thinking of housing pheasants with chickens. th coop is 3.6x1.5x1.5m i have 3 mixed bantams, i hen, 1 rooster(his name's russell crow.hehe.) 1 standard OEG cock, & 4 4week old sebrights in the brooder, gonna join them soon. would it b okay to house them witha pair or 2 of golden/Ringneck Pheasants? on the side line, would $150 a pair be a good price?

If they are adult/young Ringneck pheasants- No. Ringnecks can be very aggressive to other fowl. If they are Red Golden Pheasants, then perhaps for a time, depending on the pheasants attitude. Ringnecks will eat baby chicks etc... and bullie small chickens. I have raised pheasant chicks and chicks for a time together.

OK I'M GONNA TAKE HEAT ON THIS 1 I KNOW IT, BUT HERE GOES=== THIS IS A REALLY REALLY BAD IDEA! TRIED IT MYSELF AND LEARNED THE HARD WAY HERE. PHEASANTS AS WITH MOST GAMEBIRDS DO NOT MAKE GOOD ROOMMATES FOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN THEY'RE OWN KIND. THEY DONT HAVE THE TEMPERMENT FOR IT, THEY NEED DIFFERENT CONDITIONS/NUTRITION. AND THEY ARE SUSCEPTIBLE TO MANY ILLNESS THAT THE CHICKENS HAVE/ CARRY AND NEVER BECOME ILL WITH IT--- IN TURN IT WILL WIPE OUT YOU PHEASANT POPULATION LIKE SMALL POX DID TO THE INCA INDIANS WHEN THE SPANISH LANDED IN S AMERICA. I TRIED AND LOST PHEASANTS TO CORYZA WHILE THE CHICKENS WERE FINE THRU THE WHOLE PROCESS.

THE PEN YOU DESCRIBE IS HARDLY BIG ENOUGH FOR JUST A FEW PHEASANTS BY THEMSELVES=== THEY ARE A GAME BIRD AND REQUIRE LOTS OF SPACE OR THEY WILL PECK EACH OTHER TO DEATH.

ON THE PHEASANTS I'M CONFUSED== ARE THEY GOLDENS, OR RINGNECKS? AND 150.00 PR IS A LIL STEEP FOR THE EXPENSIVE GOLDENS AND WAY OUTTA LINE FOR RINGNECKS! ALSO DIFFERENT PHEASANT SPECES SHOULD NOT BE HOUSE TOGATHER AS CROSS BREEDING WILL RESULT.
