Pheasent tail feather question!!

I am ssooo mad un My farm helper decided to catch my pheasants and move them to a new pen. He grabed them by the tail feathers. Of course, now we have none left!! I went into the back and thought I walked into another weasel attack!

My question is: Will they grow back? And, if so, how long will it take?

They will grow back. Just like when a pheasant moltes they loose their tail feathers. They grow back. It may take a couple months, but they'll be back and beautiful as always.

That's what thought but I just wanted make sure. They look so pitiful, NONE of them have tails! Thanks for the info

Hi Willow, if they where clean plucks they will start to re~grow very soon, if they where broken off and not plucked out completely then they will not regrow till there molt startes. Never the less they will get them back sooner or later..
