Hello everyone!

I have recently been blessed with a Pheonix Rooster! I am very excited to start showing him. Next year will be my sixth year bringing poultry to the fair. As far as I know he is a decent specimen and will do well at the county fair. One thing I am researching on is how to best care for his tail. If anyone has experience with this please share! I think that a feather fixer or meat ration would help with feather growth but I know that too much protein could result in Kidney failure. I was also considering a poultry conditioner to put in his feed. Any help with this would be amazing!

Allflock or game bird feed should be good. I have Phoenix and if my boy wasn't free range he tail would be in good condition.

To keep the tails in good condition they need to be kept where they can keep their tail off the ground and with maybe just a few hens or alone. If not the tail can get shredded and look ratty.
