Phesant Laying

Hi ALL

Unfortunately not information here on pheasant but thought id give it a go. have two breeding pheasant (Golden) have them about 6 months now, but are about 2 years old, First night I got them, the hen laid an egg, she hasn't laid an egg since. Anybody any ideas please as im considering of loading them of.

She probably is not laying anymore due to stress. She must have just been ready to lay an egg when you got them. But moving birds can be very stressful I imagine this is why she is not laying.

I understand it's been a awhile but the stress may have ended her laying season and now you just have to wait for the next one.

thanks Mate, I just like to breed more, also best food to give them, I have been feeding them game pellets

Feeds with 20% or more protein content are good and if you want to give them something extra they love roasted mealworms.
