At what age can I "gender" a phoenix? I have two. One has much 'fuller' tail feathers (much more upright) and one doesn't, and the one with fuller tail feathers is also bigger by a bit. I'll try and get a picture if I can catch them. (Free-ranging right now)

What pattern/variety? Gold and Silver Pheonix "the two most common varieties " are sex specific patterned.

I have a pair of Phoenix that I recently bought for my daughter. I was told they are blue splash Phoenix pullet and cockerel and are 6 weeks old. Can you tell if they are as listed?

Cockerel has clear saddle feathers showing which typically don't come in until at least 14-15 weeks. And the pullet being larger she may be even older yet.

These birds are very small if they are that old. They are the size of a dove. My Brahmas are 6 months old for comparison
